A cunning predator that mimics the Violet Vine Flower. It's a small unusual creature with characteristics of a reptilian and an insect. It's wings, though it can't fly, mimics the colours of the flowers that grow on forest vines. The flower's stamens produce an aromatic dew that attracts pollinators. This vine hunter's extendable claws produces a sticky fluid with a similar aroma to the flowers. Once caught it will reel in it's prey to it's potent fangs, whose highly toxic venom paralyzes the prey while it begins the digestion process. This creature then begins to feed on it's newly captured morsel.

So, yeah, been a little while since I painted a creature, been on a little character spree, getting the hang of drawing the incredibly bizarre human creatures...This piece was done for conceptart's Creature of the week...Venomous Violet Vine hunter!
